What is the lordotic curve?
The lordotic curve is the natural, inward curve of the lumbar and cervical spine. It is essential for shock absorption, stability, and movement. Although a normal curve is healthy, an exaggerated curve (known as hyperlordosis) can lead to pain, discomfort, and reduced mobility.
Is there anything I can do if I have lordosis?
Yes! Regular chiropractic adjustments, along with strengthening exercises and stretching, postural awareness, and weight management, can help to reduce the pain caused by lordosis. Dr. Tarry can advise on which stretches can bring you the most relief.
